1/32 Su-27 Early Tail Boom For the Trumpeter Su-27

MSRP: $28.00 Website: www.zactomodels.com When Trumpeter produced their Su-27, the kit reflected a later model Su-27 which fits most of the decals that were produced. One set that really tickled my fancy was the decals from Linden Hill for Ukrainian Flanker, most specifically "Blue 8". Here's a picture of Blue 8: www.zactomodels.com Blue 8 is a Flanker B and the problem is that it had a different tail boom as it was an early Flanker. That would be hard to reproduce the boom and the decals are so wonderful, what was a modeler to do? Chris Wilson and Zactomodels to the rescue! "Zactoman" has produced a solid resin early tail boom and it is gorgeous. Casting is almost flawless and it has engraved panel lines and strip styrene to replicate the antennas. Instructions are excellent showing when and how to cut.

This is a simple conversion that when making an early Su-27 is essential. It is highly recommended and if you decide to build an accurate, early Su-27, it is a necessity. My thanks to Chris Wilson and Zactomodels for the sample. Keep an eye open for an on-line build of Blue 8 coming soon.
