Pro Art Models have been a modeling cottage industry since 2002. I first saw some of their items on a model HEMTT fuel truck. They produce modern resin and photo-etched items for the armor builder. They are a Belgium company and you can order direct or through one of many world-wide suppliers. I purchased this one directly from R&J Enterprises’ website. I found this set back when I was building the Academy M113A3 kit and realized there were not any additional antenna bases included with the kit and that I really didn’t have a lot of back-up spares for modern radio antenna bases.

This is a nice little add-on set for any modern vehicle or diorama. It contains 62 cream-colored resin pieces in a zip-lock baggie, two pieces of copper wire in another zip-lock and a two-sided black-and-white instruction sheet. The breakdown of parts is listed on the sheet which is really helpful if you don’t know what communications system you are trying to install. As you can see from the color photographs, these little items will really help deck out the interior of your modern vehicles. Of course the reason I purchased the set was for the four modern straight and bent antenna bases that are included. All the other goodies were just bonuses. One note: you will need to wrap your own hand mike cables as the thin wire provided will not even begin to make one cable.

These items can be purchased directly from the Pro Art Models website. If you are uncomfortable with credit card purchasing from a different country, their website has a listing of available U.S. distributors that carry their fine line of products. I bought mine from R&J Enterprises.

I would like to thank Pro Art Models for making this kit, my wife for allowing me to purchase it, and to IPMS/USA for providing a place for others to see this review.
