Bronco has two Land-Wasser-Schleppers and Hobby Boss has one. The Bronco kits are touted as an LWS and a late LWS. The kits each contain a different style pattern of track. Looking on the back of this box, explains why Bronco may have released this set. This set is identical to the one provided in the late version kit of their LWS. The back of the box states that this is recommended for the Hobby Boss kit. What we have here is one company trying to make some money from the people that bought the Hobby Boss kit. Based on written reviews, the Hobby Boss kit comes with one piece vinyl track. It also appears to be sorely lacking in detail. We tread heads know that this is the worst track to use to create realistic sag on vehicles.

Inside the box you get two bags of track. Each bag consists of 14 sprues with 10 shoes per sprue. That makes or a total of 140 tracks. You only need 134 per side so you get an extra 12 shoes to make your sag more dramatic. I guess you could also throw some shoes onto the back deck area. These tracks are non-workable and simply glue together like all other non working link to link track. There is very little flash and the guide horns have holes drilled into them. The sprues are also marked for left and right side use. If you dissemble them make sure you keep the proper ones together. The instructions are on the back of the box and include the modifications you will need to carry out to apply these to the Hobby Boss offering.

I think it is a neat idea that Bronco offers to sell this excellent set for all the model builders that bought a Hobby Boss LWS and don't like the vinyl track included. The process of cutting this much off the shoes might cause you to think differently before rushing out and getting yourself a set. However, since Friulmodel has not yet released a set for the LWS, these are your best bet.

I would like to thank Stevens Internationals for providing the sample, Bronco Models for making this set, and IPMS/USA for the space for others to see this review
