MSRP: $15.00 Website: www.airconnection.on.ca www.thebarrelstore.com Hussar has been around for awhile and makes a huge selection of decals, resin, photo-etched after market products for the modeler. I find their stuff listed on numerous model site and EBAY but cannot find a site that they own. I have about 14 total different VW kits and after market products for the VW family. I had planned on doing a Type 87 with the decked out interior and engine compartment. However, I wanted to add a more aggressive pattern wheel and kept an old Tamiya schwimmwagen around for the tires. For some reason, Tamiya used the same pattern tire on the new schwimmwagen that they used on their new kubelwagen. My guess would be cost but the older ones look neater. While I was surfing for smoke cans to put on my JSU-152, I happened to check out www.thebarrelstore.com. They had the smoke cans and these tires. After seeing the pictures, I had to add them to my order as well. They are a Canadian firm I have ordered from before and I have always received five star service from them. They even take PAYPAL which is now a plus for me. As you can see from the pictures, there is a big difference between design and patterns. The Hussar wheels are definitely designed to go on the new Tamiya release. This means some slight modifications will be needed to adapt them to the CMK offering. However, if you want to replace your tires on the new Tamiya release….this is the ONLY way to go. The set comes with two front and rear tires and a spare. There are no covers included so if you wish, you will have to add these yourself. However, I think they look great uncapped.
