For the February 2010 edition of the Model Art Magazine, they have a fair number of new kit reviews. They include the following-

  • Tamiya 1/32 scale - Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX c.
  • Trumpeter 1/48 scale - F-100C Supersabre.
  • Trumpeter 1/350 scale - Prinz Eugen 1945 German Heavy Cruiser.
  • Dragon Models 1/35 scale - Jagdpanzer IV L/70 (V).
  • Aoishima 1/24 scale - Mercedes Benz SL63 AMG.
The magazine also has a set of articles on "Ultimate German Fighters of World War II" including-

  • Dragon 1/48 scale - Focke-wulf Ta152C-0.
  • Pacific Coast Models 1/32 scale - Focke-Wulf Ta152H-1.
  • Tamiya 1/48 scale - Heinke He219A-7 uhu..
  • Hasegawa 1/48 scale - Arado Ar234C-3 & Tamiya 1/48 scale V-1 (Fieseler Fi103).
  • Trumpeter 1/32 scale - Messerschmitt Me262 B-1a/U1.
  • Dragon 1/48 scale - Fw190 D-12/R14 converted to a Focke-wulf Fw190 V18/U1.
Also included is a write-up and pictures of a 1/43 scale 1963 Fiat 2300S Coupe.

The high quality photos, detailed layouts clearly give most modelers ample idea/instruction on the building, fixes, and workarounds needed for constructing the various models mentioned above. If nothing else, this has certainly given me much to work towards with respect to improving upon my model building skills. As noted by a fellow reviewer - "I would recommend this magazine just for the pictures…"

My thanks to Model Art and IPMS for the opportunity to review this magazine.
