This is an interesting product that comes under the heading of ‘I don’t know what I’ll use this for, but it will be just the thing when the need arises’. This is a dry adhesive that comes in strips between two pieces of glossy paper. It can be used to fix bits permanently or temporarily and, most importantly for our hobby, it leaves no residue. Think of this stuff as blu-tack with significantly more sticking power. The package describes it well: ‘sticks like glue, handy like tape’.

I used a strip of it to dry fit together a 1/72 Hasegawa Hurricane; that’s eight parts held together with a few blobs of this stuff. The applications are limited only by your ingenuity. Although it is no longer flat and even after you use it, it can be reused - again, very much like blu-tack. I can see using this stuff to hold two fuselage halves together for Tamiya Extra Thin Cement treatment or holding tiny bits quite firmly for airbrushing without being blown away. This product seems quite handy with a lot of potential for odd jobs at the bench as they arise. I am glad to have it in the arsenal. Thanks to Alpha Precision Abrasives for the sample.
