Periscopio Publications recently sent another selection of modeling magazines and books for review. I received four recent issues of the general modeling magazine Model Expert (see review). The magazines are full-color and the quality of modeling and photography is excellent. As usual with this magazine, the articles are in Greek, but the quality of the models and photography makes up for this in part – after all, a picture is worth a thousand words! These are available from the publishers at $8 per issue, post-free. Also from this company is a military special on the Greek Marines. Again, the text is Greek, but there are over 160 full-color photos of uniforms, vehicles and equipment for the military modeler to drool over. Definitely one for the fan of the unusual or esoteric! This book is available from the publishers at $13. With the understanding that the majority of their titles are in Greek, I can recommend these publications for their outstanding photos and models.
