Approximately 700 +/- screws are provided per plate on the two sample carrier plates that I have on hand. These screw heads are made from photo etch but no specialized tools are required to use them. Unlike the other photo etch products I've used, these screw heads do not need to be cut away from the carrier plate. A piece of thin acrylic plastic coated with adhesive holds the screw heads in place within the carrier plate. The screw heads can be pulled away from the plastic coating by simply prying it loose with the tip of a hobby knife. As with any photo etch part some care should be used so that the part does not take flight and disappear. Using a toothpick or straight pin with a little saliva to act as a "bonding" agent, the screw head can be picked up and placed into a small drop of adhesive which as already been applied to the model surface. The entire process of removing the screw head from the packaging, to putting it in place on the model is very easy, very rapid, and can be accomplished by any modeler whether they are new to photo etch work or wizened veterans.

The accompanying image shows the underside of a 1/48 scale F-86 cockpit tub. One can see one of LT0034 0.6mm Hexagon Screws glued into position on the uppermost injection release tab. The screw head can be easily seen from 2 to 4 feet away from the model and gives the model an added amount of detail and "realism".

I found these items very easy to work with and can think of uses for them on a number of different kinds of models. The screws lend themselves to detailing landing gear struts, aircraft engines, auto engines, and of course, adding detail on armor models. One of my interests is scratch built spacecraft and these items lend themselves nicely to that endeavor.

I highly recommend these Lion's Roar products.
